چکیده
Purpose: The study investigated the results of direct surgical scleral depression using four ports and chandelier lighting system in rhegmatogenous retinal detachment. Methods: Anatomical functional success rates complications were analyzed 179 eyes diagnosed with detachment that underwent primary vitrectomy at our hospital between March 2012 February 2022.Results: A total 168 (93.9%) had anatomical without reoperation while 11 (6.1%) developed recurrence. However, final rate was 100%. best-corrected visual acuity improved significantly from logarithm minimum angle resolution (logMAR) 1.03 ± 0.92 to logMAR 0.24 0.39 after surgery (<i>p</i> < 0.001). Complications included a temporary increase intraocular pressure (n = 3, 1.7%), leakage through incision 2, 1.1%), hyphema vitreous hemorrhage 10, 5.6%), iatrogenic break 1, 0.6%), but these treatment. Conclusions: Four-port for which is directly performed useful method. It allows effective visualization peripheral retina regardless assistant’s proficiency more meticulous surgery. this technique similar conventional technique.

متن کاملScleral buckling versus vitrectomy for primary rhegmatogenous retinal detachment
Introduction Retinal detachment (RD) surgery is the most common retinal surgery performed. RD can be repaired either by scleral buckling (SB) or pars plana vitrectomy (PPV). Pneumoretinopexy, laser delimitation or observation can be done in selected cases. The decision to perform SB or vitrectomy depends on various factors, including age of the patient, duration and extent of RD, presence of pr...
